About Dr. Husain

Dr. Amna Husain, MD, IBCLC  is a board-certified pediatrician, board certified lactation consultant, private practice owner, and children’s book author currently residing in Raleigh, NC. As a mother to two young children, Dr. Husain is a strong believer that pediatricians are the cornerstone of helping parents and families raise the next generation, and that our children deserve the best care. She completed medical school at Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University and pediatric residency at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington DC

Her pediatric philosophy inspired her to not only create her own pediatric practice but to also use her voice to educate and empower parents with knowledge and evidence based pediatric medicine.  

As a millennial parent herself, Dr. Husain loves delivering meaningful pediatric and parenting education to her followers on social media where she’s active on Instagram, Tiktok, and Youtube (@dr.amnahusain).
